TENS + EMS SYSTEM

A TENS unit sends electrical pulses through the skin. These pulses control pain signals in the body, creating temporary or permanent relief from pain. They can control abnormally excited nerves and release endorphins.

How it Works

TENS + EMS units are ideal for those suffering from:

  • arthritis

  • bursitis

  • tendonitis

  • surgery

  • headaches

  • muscle activation

It’s also used for injuries and wounds.

What is a TENS unit?

According to our vendors over at iRELIEV, “TENS stands for ‘Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve StimulationIt’s.’ It’s a safe, non-invasive drug-free method of pain relief used by doctors for over 30 years. TENS works by blocking the pain signals from traveling to the brain through low voltage pulses to the skin. As a result, it produces endorphins, the body’s feel-good chemical.”

What is an EMS system?

The EMS system differs from the TENS by activating muscles rather than blocking pain. EMS stands for “Electrical Muscle Stimulation” essentially stimulating the muscles in order to increase the speed of recovery, as well as, strength and endurance.
