EMG/NCS Testing

EMG/NCS (Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Studies: these are used to measure the health of your nerves and evaluate the integrity of your muscles. This test is extremely helpful for the therapist and your doctor to assess the severity of the nerve damage and determine if surgery is necessary. This test is helpful in cases like back pain, neck pain, numbness/tingling/burning sensations in the hands or feet, weakness in the leg's arms or hands, diabetes, and neuropathy.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Diagnostic test allows the Physical Therapist to see inside the patient's body and look at the muscles, joints, and tendons to determine, within MINUTES, if there are any tears or inflammation. This advanced technology is unmatched and will allow the most accurate results for major pain areas, such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

Foot Levelers Orthotics

Custom orthotics are used to correct imbalances in the body’s foundation – your feet. Foot Levelers custom orthotics are made just for you based off a foot scan. Correcting imbalances in the feet helps reduce and prevent pain by balancing the body.

Functional Capacity Evaluations

A Functional Capacity Evaluation is a set of tests created for individuals with work-related injuries. The tests are done to determine if the individual is capable of returning to work.

Dry Needling

The use of small needles and electrotherapy in trigger points (knots) to create contractions in the muscle in order to stimulate healing.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy that uses a process called photobiomodulation to change the condition of damaged tissue by stimulating cellular metabolism, thereby accelerating the healing process and reducing inflammation.

TENS + EMS SYSTEM

Electrical nerve stimulation which helps to decreases pain, increase blood flow, desensitize pain receptors

Spinal Traction

Spinal Traction is used to treat Lower Back Pain, Sciatica, Degenerative Disc Disorders and many other conditions involving the spine.

Cupping

Cupping involves placing small suction cups on the skin to facilitate healing with blood flow in the body.

Ultrasound Treatment

Ultrasound sends sounds waves to deeper tissues to increase blood flow, circulation, and stimulate healing.

"When I first came to APT I was amazed by the friendliness of the staff! I could tell that each staff member genuinely cared! At the beginning of my treatment, I was barely able to walk short distances without pain or discomfort in my knee. As a college student this was very discouraging. A great staff of therapists, particularly Kristi & TJ, who helped me achieve my goals. I am now able to walk without pain… When I started at APT, I was limping on my right leg & having pain driving; lifting my leg from the gas pedal to the brake. It was determined that the problem was my lower back. Since I had both of my hips replaced, I was afraid of injuring myself – exercising on my own. Kristi & TJ taught me exercises & how to stretch gradually. After 6 weeks of therapy, I am now able to walk without limping and can drive my car with ease.
