Debbie Nystrom, PT
Physical Therapist
Debbie received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical School in 1982. Since graduation, Debbie has worked in a variety of settings in both Colorado and Texas, including home health, acute care/teaching hospitals, outpatient clinics, and most recently an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. She has had over 30 years of experience in treating a broad variety of diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, and acute medical conditions. Debbie views her role as a ministry while utilizing her skills as a volunteer/team member of Wheels for the World which is a branch of Joni and Friends. She has helped with the fitting of donated wheelchairs for those with disabilities all over the world. She is thankful that she could raise her family, be involved in her children’s schools and in her community, while still investing in the lives of her patients to help restore mobility, independence, and quality of life.

EXPERIENCE:

Debbie has worked in a variety of settings over the past years. She has gone through training in McKenzie, Stroke Rehabilitation, Spinal Chord Injuries, and the Stanley Perry S1 course.

MORE ABOUT DEBBIE:

My name is Debbie Nystrom. I am married to Tom and have 3 children who are married to wonderful spouses. We were so happy to welcome our first two little grandbabies in the beginning of 2021. I enjoy being active, especially outdoors and I love to hike, kayak and camp. I also love cooking, entertaining, and opening up my home to host family and friends.
